About
WHO
An eleven-year resident of the Rogue Valley, I have taught piano and tutored math and language arts for five years. My approach is to have students make fast progress, learning deeply and enjoying the process. A holistic approach in which ear training, harmony, and composition are part of the piano skill-building is employed. This ensures more confidence and greater overall versatility.
WHY & HOW
Since I am fully vaccinated, I prefer to teach in person at my piano studio. I also teach via Zoom if desired, especially for school subjects.
With math students, I use a proof-based and reasoning approach, instead of simply doing homework, so that students can advance further in the next years.
SUCCESSES
All of my students have passed their classes, raised their GPA, completed the GED, or raised their standardized test scores by over 100 points after working with me. My piano students have progressed and enjoyed their musical journey with me, whether by participating in group recitals, private performances, or playing with friends.
